Mexica Tonalli-Candace Duran-CDC#WE6940

What I like about the the Mexica Tonalli Event was the peace that I felt. Just for a few hours that we were there, I felt that I had escaped from prison. I got to sit there and watch the prayers being danced and feel the vibration of the Huehuetl.

I also enjoyed all the information the dancers had about what it is exactly they do. I learned a lo t of new knowledge about myself also--being that my great great grandfather was a native to Mexico. So I have a bloodline that runs to the Mexica people.

This event helped me because it brought be amazing new sense of myself I never knew.

I know know that I too can be amazing. It helped me because everything I am leaning in the Mexica class and the event motivates me and inspires me to be a better person. I am going to take everything I am learning very serious and treat the culture with respect. I love the event. The food was a bonus. (Shout out to Diana's Restaurant- Gardena)
